About

Hi, I’m Isla Joy Quinn. I write quiet stories for unruly hearts—fiction rooted in place, memory, and the tender ache of becoming.

My work is shaped by the rhythms of the Pacific Northwest and the weight of the stories we carry—the grief we tuck away, the love that remakes us, the long, slow work of finding home inside ourselves again. These are stories for anyone who’s ever buried their voice, doubted their worth, or wondered if the past could be rewritten.

I’m so glad you’re here.

When I’m not writing, I’m probably playing The Sims 4, getting overly competitive with table games, or curled up on on the couch with a book. I have a soft spot for stories about complicated people, quiet bravery, and the mess we make of loving each other.

I live in the Pacific Northwest with two cats—Jack and Sammy—and a ball python named Lucy (short for Lucille… Ball). I dream, often and with my whole heart, of a riverside cabin with an art studio, a lofted bedroom, a garden I swear I’d try not to kill, and maybe some chickens.

Until then, you’ll find me here—writing about the quiet things we carry and the unexpected beauty of piecing ourselves back together.

Thank you for visiting—I hope these stories find you when you need them most.
